1121 Basmati is the most commercially significant basmati rice variety in global trade. It is cultivated across Pakistan’s rice-growing belt in Punjab and Sindh, where the combination of fertile alluvial soil, seasonal monsoon rainfall, and Himalayan-fed irrigation produces grain with exceptional length, aroma, and cooking quality. DaaHeritage Rice offers 1121 in three processing types, each tailored to different market preferences and end-use applications.

Processing Types

1121 White (Raw Milled)
Paddy is directly milled, polished, and graded without any thermal treatment. Produces a bright white grain with the softest cooking texture and most delicate aroma. Preferred in markets that value the lightest, fluffiest cooked rice. Most popular in South Asian domestic markets and European specialty retail.

1121 Steam
Paddy is lightly steamed at low pressure before milling. Produces a white-coloured grain with slightly firmer texture and better grain separation than raw white. The steam treatment partially gelatinizes the surface starch, reducing breakage during milling and improving cooking tolerance. Most popular in European, Central Asian, and African markets.

1121 Sella (Parboiled)
Paddy is fully soaked in water and steamed at higher pressure before milling. Produces a golden-coloured grain with the firmest texture, best grain separation, and highest nutrient retention. Sella grains are the most resistant to overcooking, making them ideal for biryani, bulk cooking, and food service. Most popular in the Middle East, West Africa, and East Africa.

• Retail and consumer: DaaHeritage 1121 is positioned as a premium retail basmati brand. Available in 1 kg, 2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg, and 20 kg branded packs for supermarket, grocery, and specialty food retail channels

• Food service and HoReCa: All three processing types serve restaurants, hotels, catering companies, and airline kitchens. White for delicate dishes, Steam for everyday service, Sella for biryani and buffet applications

• Food manufacturing: Used in ready-to-eat meals, frozen meals, canned rice, and microwaveable packs. Steam and Sella hold shape and texture during reprocessing and reheating

• Bulk commodity trade: Exported in 25 kg, 50 kg bags or loose in containers to rice distributors, wholesalers, and repackers worldwide

• Private label and OEM: Full private label services including custom branding, packaging design, and retail-ready packing under the importer’s own brand. All three processing types available for private label

Quality Assurance

Each shipment includes a Certificate of Quality reporting grain length, broken percentage, moisture, chalky grains, damaged grains, foreign matter, colour, and aroma assessment. All rice is processed at HACCP/ISO 22000 certified mills with colour sorters, destoners, length graders, and polishing equipment. Phytosanitary certification, fumigation certificate, and third-party inspection (SGS/Intertek) can be arranged. Pre-shipment samples are provided for buyer approval.
