Pink Onyx from Pakistan

Pink Onyx is a translucent banded calcite mineral with a naturally occurring rose-pink to blush coloration. The pink tones are created by trace amounts of manganese oxide and iron compounds deposited within the calcite layers during the stone’s formation in underground cavities. White calcite veining runs through the pink base in delicate, lace-like patterns, creating an organic, almost floral visual quality. Pink Onyx is one of the rarest onyx color varieties in the global market, and Pakistan is among the very few origins producing it in commercially viable quantities from deposits in Balochistan.

Available Forms

• Raw Blocks: quarry-extracted, for processing at the importer’s facility

• Slabs: cut to standard or custom dimensions, 15-20 mm for backlighting, 20-30 mm for standard use

• Tiles: 30x30, 60x60, 120x60 cm and custom formats

• Backlit panels: slabs cut to 10-15 mm for maximum light transmission, with mesh backing

• Custom shapes: circular, oval, curved, and bookmatched pairs

Quality Assurance

Each shipment can be supplied with a material inspection report. Translucency grading (A, B, C) and pink color intensity grading are available. Third-party pre-shipment inspection (SGS or equivalent) can be arranged on request. All slabs are resin-treated and mesh-backed for structural reinforcement. Slab selection, bookmatching, and color matching services are available.
