Product Details

Organic Manure from Pakistan

Animal manure has been the foundation of soil fertility for thousands of years. Modern processing transforms raw manure into standardised, safe, easy-to-handle organic fertilizer products suitable for mechanised farming, precision horticulture, and retail garden markets. Pakistan’s massive livestock and poultry industries generate raw manure in volumes far exceeding domestic agricultural demand, creating a significant export opportunity for processed organic manure products.

Two Products Explained

Pelletised Poultry Manure
Raw poultry manure (broiler litter or layer manure) is first composted and heat-dried to kill pathogens, reduce moisture, and stabilise nutrients. The dried material is then ground and compressed through a pellet die into uniform cylindrical pellets (4-6 mm diameter). Pelletisation transforms bulky, odorous raw manure into a clean, low-odour, free-flowing product that can be spread with standard fertilizer equipment (broadcast spreaders, seed drills). Poultry manure pellets have the highest NPK values among common organic fertilizers (3-4-2 typical), providing a significant nutrient contribution alongside soil organic matter. The pellet format also makes it practical for retail garden markets and export.

Cow Dung Compost
Raw cattle or buffalo dung is collected from dairy farms and feedlots, mixed with carbon-rich crop residues (wheat straw, rice straw), and composted in windrows for 8-12 weeks. Regular turning and moisture management maintain thermophilic temperatures (60-70°C) that kill pathogens, parasites, and weed seeds. The finished compost is cured for 2-4 weeks, then screened to remove oversized particles. Cow dung compost has lower NPK values than poultry pellets but provides superior soil conditioning: improving soil structure, water-holding capacity, aeration, and microbial diversity. It is the most widely used organic manure in traditional farming systems worldwide.

Industrial Uses

Pelletised Poultry Manure:

  • Broad-acre crop fertilization: Applied at 1-3 tonnes per hectare as a base organic fertilizer for wheat, rice, cotton, sugarcane, maize, and other field crops. The pellet format allows precise, mechanised application through standard fertilizer spreading equipment

  • Fruit orchards and vineyards: Band or ring application around fruit trees, vines, and berry bushes. The slow-release NPK profile sustains nutrition over the growing season

  • Vegetable farming: Pre-plant incorporation and side-dressing for vegetable production. High nitrogen content supports leafy growth

  • Organic farming: Approved organic input under USDA NOP, EU Organic, and IFOAM standards. Provides both nutrients and organic matter in a single application

  • Greenhouse and nursery: Blended into potting media or applied as top-dressing for container-grown plants

  • Turf and landscaping: Top-dressing for lawns, sports turf, and landscape installations. Low odour makes pellets suitable for urban and residential applications

  • Retail garden market: Packaged in 1-25 kg retail bags for home gardeners, allotment holders, and garden centres

Cow Dung Compost:

  • Soil conditioning: Primary function is improving soil organic matter, structure, water retention, and biological activity. Applied at 5-10 tonnes per hectare for field crops

  • Organic farming: Traditional and certified organic soil amendment. Provides slow-release nutrients and restores soil health depleted by continuous chemical fertilizer use

  • Vegetable and horticultural beds: Mixed into raised beds, vegetable plots, and flower beds to create rich, well-structured growing soil

  • Soil reclamation: Applied to degraded, compacted, saline, and eroded soils to restore organic matter and biological activity

  • Composting accelerator: Cow dung is rich in diverse microorganisms and is used as an inoculant to accelerate composting of other organic waste

  • Biogas co-product: Digested cow dung slurry from biogas plants is further composted into a nutrient-rich soil amendment

  • Mushroom casing: Composted cow dung is blended into casing soil for button mushroom cultivation

Quality Assurance

Each batch is tested for NPK, organic matter, C:N ratio, pH, EC, moisture, heavy metals (Pb, Cd, As, Hg), E. coli, Salmonella, and weed seed viability. Poultry pellets are additionally tested for pellet durability and bulk density. All manure is processed from known-source inputs with no synthetic chemicals, antibiotics, or industrial contaminants. Pre-shipment samples are provided for buyer evaluation.

Why Source From Pakistan?

Pakistan has one of the world’s largest livestock populations and a massive poultry industry, generating vast volumes of animal manure annually. Dedicated processing facilities in Punjab and Sindh convert raw manure into standardised, pathogen-free organic fertilizer products for domestic agriculture and export. Competitive raw material, processing, and labour costs keep product pricing attractive for agricultural importers, organic farming suppliers, and garden centre chains. Established export logistics through Karachi port enable efficient container shipments. DaaTrade manages sourcing from verified processing operations, quality testing, packaging, retail branding, documentation and shipment through one export desk.

Frequently Asked Questions

A: Poultry manure pellets have significantly higher NPK (3-4-2 typical) and are used primarily as an organic fertilizer providing both nutrients and organic matter. They are dried, pelletised, low-moisture (8-12%), low-odour, and easy to spread mechanically. Cow dung compost has lower NPK (1-1-1 typical) but provides superior soil conditioning: better organic matter content, microbial diversity, humic acids, and soil structure improvement. It is the preferred product for soil rehabilitation and long-term soil health. Many farmers use both: poultry pellets for nutrient supply and cow dung compost for soil conditioning.

A: Yes. Both products are made from 100% animal manure and crop residues with no synthetic chemicals, antibiotics residues (tested), or industrial waste. Properly composted animal manure and pelletised poultry manure are approved inputs under USDA NOP, EU Organic, and IFOAM standards. A Certificate of Quality including organic input declaration, NPK analysis, heavy metal levels, pathogen testing, and antibiotic residue screening is provided for each batch.

A: Yes. Both products are available with complete private label services including custom brand name, packaging design, artwork, and retail-ready bags in 1 kg, 2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg, and 25 kg sizes. Multiple bag materials available (PP, kraft paper, jute). Poultry pellets in particular are well-suited for retail garden markets due to their clean, low-odour, free-flowing format.
