Blue & Pink Granite from Pakistan

Pakistan produces two premium colored granite varieties from its igneous formations across Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Both varieties are hard, dense, weather-resistant, and suitable for interior and exterior applications in all climates.

Blue Granite

Blue Granite has a cool blue-grey base created by the dominance of labradorite feldspar, a plagioclase mineral that exhibits a subtle blue iridescence (labradorescence) when light hits the crystal faces at certain angles. Dark hornblende, biotite, and occasional garnet inclusions provide contrasting mineral flecks across the surface. The result is a sophisticated, contemporary stone with a cool, oceanic character that sets it apart from standard grey and black granites.

Pink Granite

Pink Granite has a warm pink to salmon base created by a high proportion of pink potassium feldspar (orthoclase and microcline). Grey quartz, dark biotite mica, and hornblende crystals create a natural speckled contrast against the pink background. The pink tone ranges from soft pastel rose to deeper salmon depending on the quarry source and mineral concentration. Pink Granite conveys warmth, permanence, and prestige.

Available Forms

  • Raw Blocks, Slabs, Tiles (30x30, 60x60, 60x30 cm, custom), Countertop blanks, Paving and cladding panels, Monument blanks

Surface Finishes

Polished, Honed, Flamed, Brushed, Leather Finish, Bush Hammered, Sandblasted

Industrial Uses

  • Kitchen countertops: Both varieties are highly scratch-resistant, heat-tolerant, and stain-resistant. Blue Granite suits modern, contemporary kitchens with cool-toned cabinetry. Pink Granite complements white, cream, and wood-toned kitchens

  • Commercial and residential flooring: Polished or honed tiles for hotel lobbies, corporate offices, shopping centres, airports, and residential living areas. Flamed tiles for exterior plazas, driveways, and courtyards

  • Exterior building facades: Flamed or bush hammered panels for commercial, institutional, and government building exteriors. Both varieties resist weathering, UV discoloration, and pollution for decades

  • Wall cladding: Polished or honed slabs for interior feature walls, elevator lobbies, and commercial reception areas

  • Bathroom surfaces: Vanity tops, shower walls, and floor tiles. Blue Granite creates a cool, spa-like atmosphere. Pink Granite adds warmth and softness

  • Monuments and memorials: Both varieties hold detailed engraving with excellent contrast. Pink Granite is one of the most popular monument stones globally

  • Staircase treads: Polished or flamed treads for interior and exterior staircases

  • Landscaping: Curbing, paving, garden edging, retaining walls, benches, fountains, and outdoor furniture

Quality Assurance

Each shipment can be supplied with a material inspection report and physical test data. Third-party inspection (SGS or equivalent) available on request. Color consistency and shade matching available for projects requiring uniform tone across large areas.

Why Source From Pakistan?

Pakistani Blue and Pink Granite offer distinctive, premium coloration with excellent physical properties at competitive FOB pricing compared to Norwegian, Indian, Brazilian, and Egyptian alternatives. Both varieties have consistent color, hardness, and weather resistance meeting international specifications for countertops, flooring, cladding, facades, and monuments. Established quarrying and processing infrastructure, combined with efficient export logistics through Karachi port, give importers a reliable supply chain. Both varieties can be supplied in the same shipment for mixed-color projects. DaaTrade manages sourcing, shade matching, quality verification, samples and export through one desk.

Frequently Asked Questions

A: Yes. We regularly supply mixed-variety containers for projects using both colors or for importers stocking multiple granite varieties. Specify the quantity split between Blue and Pink when submitting your requirement and we will organize the packing and logistics accordingly.

A: Yes. Both Blue and Pink Granite have very low water absorption (≤ 0.3%), high compressive strength (≥ 180 MPa), and excellent resistance to freeze-thaw cycles, UV exposure, and pollution. Neither variety fades or discolors with sun exposure. Flamed or bush hammered finishes are recommended for exterior paving and facades to provide slip resistance.

A: Pakistani Blue Granite offers a similar cool blue-grey character to Norwegian Blue Pearl and Indian Blue Galaxy at a lower FOB price. Pakistani Pink Granite competes with Indian Rosy Pink and Brazilian Rosa varieties in color depth and consistency. We recommend ordering samples of each variety for side-by-side comparison with competing origins before finalizing your specification.
