Golden Onyx from Pakistan

Golden Onyx is a translucent banded calcite mineral formed by rhythmic mineral deposition in underground cavities. The stone’s warm palette is created by varying concentrations of iron oxide and organic compounds trapped within the calcite layers during formation. The result is a stone with rich, flowing bands of honey-gold, deep amber, burnt orange, and milky white that undulate across the surface in organic wave-like patterns. Each slab is a unique natural composition. Pakistan’s Balochistan province produces Golden Onyx with some of the most vivid and consistent golden coloration available globally.

Available Forms

• Raw Blocks: quarry-extracted, for processing at the importer’s facility

• Slabs: cut to standard or custom dimensions, 15-20 mm for backlighting, 20-30 mm for standard use

• Tiles: 30x30, 60x60, 120x60 cm and custom formats

• Backlit panels: slabs cut to 10-15 mm for maximum light transmission, with mesh backing

• Custom shapes: circular, oval, curved, and bookmatched pairs

Surface Finishes

Polished, Honed, Brushed. Polished finish intensifies the golden coloration and maximizes translucency.

Quality Assurance

Each shipment can be supplied with a material inspection report. Translucency grading (A, B, C) and color intensity grading are available. Third-party pre-shipment inspection (SGS or equivalent) can be arranged on request. All slabs are resin-treated and mesh-backed for structural reinforcement.
